Going Deeper In Prayer
Facilitators: Sheri Lee and Kristina Vandiver
Join us as we explore ways to go deeper in prayer. We will look into such things as intercession, crafted prayer, listening to the Holy Spirit, ministering in prayer, fasting, and spiritual warfare. Not only will we investigate all these aspects of prayer, but we will also enjoy plenty of opportunities to practice what we have learned in a safe and secure environment. Please bring a journal and a pen with you as we grow together in the amazing adventure and privilege of prayer.
Life is Tough, But God is Faithful: A study by Sheila Walsh
Facilitators: Stacy Courtney and Jennifer Camp
Life is full of tough times with so many questions about where God is in all of it. Sheila Walsh has found answers to these and other questions that can help find meaning and purpose in our struggles. This book will give us encouraging insight into God’s presence in the midst of our questions and trials. Sheila says, “When our dreams go sour or seem unfulfilled, we can choose to allow Satan to slither into our lives, or we can choose to remember that God is faithful, no matter how helpless life gets.” The book has a study guide that we will follow to assist us in learning and discussion.
The Power of a Praying Wife: Stormie Omartian
Facilitator: Teresa Short and Mary McNew
Boy does my husband need prayer! Lots of prayer! I have a looong list. But, how does God want us to pray for our husbands? In this study we will discover how to intercede for our husband as a son of God. To see him through God’s eyes and love him with God’s heart whether he is a believer or an unbeliever. The goal of this class is not to get our husbands to be and do what we want, but rather to release them to God so that He can develop in them His will and character. Honestly, prayer for our husbands is as much about us as it is about them as we will learn to pray, “Give my husband a new wife, and let it be me.” Expect to be changed. Are you up for the challenge?
